So you have a website and you have paraded yourself proudly before your peers in many subtle ways like when you swipe your business card before them or when you mention your email address with with a personal domain after your name, your website has been running for over 2 years or even 10 years without problem and that even adds to your boast factors, well now Google says its time to take a critical look at your website especially from your mobile device.

From 21 April 2015 Google would turn a blind eye to websites that are not mobile friendly to its mobile search results, these websites would basically be running in the dark as anyone searching for them via google search on mobile devices would not find them (technically businesses without a mobile friendly website will lose their voice on google search on mobile handsets) this was announced by Google earlier in April. Business owners may find themselves scrambling to fix their websites, or else lose out on mobile search traffic. Google clearly wants to put mobile surfing in shape and define mobile viewing in its own terms a move that would see new generation websites being developed. It can be understood from the number of people surfing the web that almost 60% of web searches are made from mobile devices and if these devices cannot find content modified for easy viewing it just is uncomfortable. Though Google says this update has no effect on searches from tablets or desktops but affects searches from mobile devices across all languages and locations it sure would change the way businesses are represented online
